Our cervical scrapers
are hand-selected and polished for optimum patient care with a smooth
finish. Made from White Birch, these scrapers are durable and
useful for a variety of purposes, such as specimen sampling either
orally or on the surface of the skin. The 8" OB-GYN applicators are
rayon-tipped and configured to facilitate the preparation of the vaginal
area for examination. The 16" proctoscopic applicator has a
larger surface for optimum preparation of the sampling area. Both 8" and 16"
OB-GYN Proctoscopic applicators may be autoclaved for use in a sterile
setting and may also substitute as an oral or throat applicator or for
topical use. Cytology brushes are designed with gentle bristles for
optimum patient care and high cell harvest for Pap Smear testing
accuracy. |

Calcium
Alginate & Specialty Applicators |

Calcium Alginate applicators are tipped
with a natural alginate extracted from seaweed and spun into a silky
fiber. Calcium alginate is biodegradable in the human system, unlike
cotton, which could remain and result in foreign body reactions.
Rayon and polyester fiber-tipped applicators are recommended for
diagnostic and specimen collection and specialty wound treatment.
Our calcium alginate and specialty applicators are available with wood,
plastic and aluminum shafts with sterile or hygienic packaging. |

Our ISO 13485
certified cotton-tipped applicators are made with USP grade cotton and
may be packaged in sterile wrappers. Our cotton tips undergo a
special process to protect tips from sticking to sterile packaging for
lint-free use. Also available in a 100 count vial for convenience
and cleanliness. Ideal for first aid and veterinary uses. Ask
us about our variety of sizes. |

Our tongue depressors are made from
close-grained White Birch. This select wood provides a
smooth finish. It has no taste or odor and maintains a high
tensile strength. In addition to oral use, our tongue depressors
are ideal for spreading ointments and salves, stirring and mixing
medications, and for use as splints. Industrial needs, such as
application of paint or glues, are also well served by our line of
tongue depressors. Available in plain, wrapped, flavored,
and sterile styles with an option of customized imprinting on wrappers. |

Flavored

Sterile and flavored tongue depressors and
medical spoons are made of biodegradable White Birch.
Tongue depressors are available in cherry and grape FDA approved
flavorings and are ideal for geriatric and pediatric use. Our
wooden medical spoons are more resistant to shattering than breakable
plastic spoons and are useful in feeding wet medications to
long-term-care patients. |
